11 May 2008 - Nailsea and backwell Under 8s 11 - Crynant 7

Nailsea under eights finished their season with another fine and fast display against their welsh tourists, winning by a comfortable margin of eleven tries to seven.

Winger Will O'Malley opened the scoring with one of his now-familiar arcing runs to touch down in the corner.  Centre Sam Williams capped his newcomer-of-the-year award by scoring three first half tries, sidestepping to great effect.  Joel Giltrow's strong running resulted in two tries allowing Nailsea to go into half time leading by six tries to four.

In the second half, Nailsea's speed allowed them to extend their lead. Forward Ben Brown kept-up the pressure on the Crynant , and was able to capitalise on spilled ball to grab two second-half tries. O'Malley added a second half try.  Centre Jo Sharps and scrum-half Ben Cleeve darted through gaps in the Welsh defence to add to Nailsea's tally, to bring this highly successful season to a close.
