Clevedon III's 3-17 N&B II's

Well with the fixture being moved at the last minute to Clevedon Community schools pitch Nailsea's pre match prep was once again upset but despite this Nailsea put this straight to their advantage and straight from the first scrummage inside Clevedon's 22 a slick passing move between the backs saw the returning Scott Farrer dance his way throught to score a good try near the posts for Ross Pearce to convert. Three minutes later Ross kicked another penalty to go 10 up. Despite Clevedon now constantly being pinned inside their 22 by the ever improving in confidence Backwell side Nailsea really struggled to find that final killer pass. With a couple of rushed penalties and some sloppy hands Nailsea just couldn't add to their first half advantage. Clevedon came out at the begining of the half with all guns blazing and with there forwards creeping forward Nailsea didn't get to grips with their own defence until Clevedon finally camped themselvees just on Nailsea's 5. Some superb scrummage work from Nailsea veteran forwards wasn't enough from them giving a penalty away under their posts for Clevedon to finally claim 3. Clevedon instantly put Nailsea back inside their own 22 but with time running down and Nailsea's superb cover tackling Nailsea scrum half Jaimey Sullivan intercepted and raced away for him to get tackled and pop the ball up for Craig Kirton to score in the corner. Pearce converted again and with Pearce kicking some superb ball back deep into the Clevedon half the danger was over and Nailsea cruised to a deserved away victory.
