27 Mar 2010 - Old Culverhaysians 1st VX 14 N&B 1st VX 25

Old Culverhaysians 14 Ravens 25

An excellent away win for the team and some good individual performances led to a victory in  horrible difficult conditions with a well supported home side.

The Ravens played some good rugby.
The scrummage was up against it in the shape of a big strong Old C's pack Rob Lee worked hard yet again playing out of position in the absence of a hooker but as per usual coping admirably.  James Staley leading the side well from 6 and Pete reeks doing a good job in the second row.  Jack Quick was his usual reliable self and his handling has now improved massively as he continues to work hard at it on training nights. The loss of Ashley Cotterill very early on with a knee injury was a knock however Ross Pearce who was making an appearance on the wing kicked well and contributed scoring a good try following some excellent build up from the Ravens backs.  Liam Harris and Jason Patch both did well defensively and again Lee Stacey was solid and starting to find his feet again. Overall a good team performance and one that was deserved as a result of hard work and determination.
